As a counselor, I consider it my calling to assist individuals in finding or regaining the tools they need to move forward. I believe that behavior, emotions, and thoughts are all intertwined, but that we are largely guided by our perceptions of ourselves, others, and our world.
Emotional strain, mental suffering and their symptoms do not occur in a vacuum, but are instead contextual. They often present themselves as we begin to adapt to events, challenges, and life stages. My goal is to help you better understand the context surrounding your symptoms and develop strategies to enhance your resiliency and wellbeing.
I believe the purpose of therapy is for you to more deeply discover who you are, what you want, and how to get there
Life is a journey, full of joys and disappointments, successes and setbacks. While the extent and nature of my interventions may vary, I strongly believe that all people possess the personal strength and the means to improve their own lives if provided with the necessary guidance and support.
Therapy is an intense, engaging and, collaborative process. During therapy, I will do my best to honor your personal experiences and perspective. I will provide honest feedback based on my clinical training and life experiences while encouraging your active participation and collaboration so that we can develop our therapeutic relationship and work to meet your goals.
